Classes are $100 per session.
Each regular session is seven (7) weeks long.

REGULAR OBEDIENCE CLASSES
Star Puppy Obedience: Puppies ages 3 to 6 months at start of class.
Get off to a great start with your puppy. At the conclusion of the class, puppies will have the option to test for AKC STAR Puppy designation.
Beginner I Obedience: Dogs ages 6 months and up.
Learn positive behavior modification, attention, proper leash handling and manners, and fundamental behaviors including recall, sit, stay, wait, down, and stand.
Beginner II Obedience: Prerequisite – STAR Puppy and/or Beginner I or Permission of Training Director.
Strengthen basic obedience skills and develop stronger teamwork between handler and dog. Emphasis on Competition Obedience skills.
Exploration of Dog Sports/Activities I: Prerequisite – Completion of Beginner Obedience Class.
Refresh and expand obedience skills. Students will work on skills essential to dog-sports, including self-control, attention, recalls. Class will include introduction to tricks, rally, and agility. Students who complete this class may be able to move on to Foundations of Agility, with Instructor Permission.
Exploration of Dog Sports/Activities II: Prerequisite – Completion of Exploration I.
Participants will work on the exercises for Beginner Novice Obedience. They will also continue to work on skills important to agility, rally, therapy work, and tricks training. Dogs may be allowed to move on to Foundations of Agility or Preparation for Performance class with instructor approval.
Preparation for Performance Obedience: Prerequisite – Puppy and/or Beginner Obedience.
Troubleshooting class addressing ring stress due to fading food lures, lack of focus, and/or environmental factors affecting the dog’s performance. It is a prerequisite for Open Obedience class.
Beginning Competition Obedience: Prerequisite – Beginner Obedience.
For dogs/handler teams interested in working toward a CD or gaining experience in formal competition obedience.
Open Obedience: Prerequisite – Preparation for Performance Obedience.
For dogs/handler teams working toward their CDX and must have a CD or at least two legs on their CD.
RALLY CLASSES
Novice Rally: Prerequisite – Exploration of Dog Sports I.
Rally signs and rules will be covered, and all dogs will be introduced to rally. Dogs should have completed Exploration of Dog Sports I and have basic skills in obedience.
Advanced Rally: Prerequisite – Novice Rally and Instructor Permission.
Dogs should have earned their RN. Exercises will focus on the Open/Excellent Rally signs and exercises.
AGILITY CLASSES
Foundations of Agility: Prerequisite – Exploration of Dog Sports and Instructor Permission. Age 9 months and up.
Students will work toward off-leash control of their dog. Introduction of flatwork/groundwork, self-control exercises, and other foundational skills essential to future dog sport success.
Fundamentals of Agility I: Prerequisite – Foundations of Agility and Instructor Permission. Age 12 months and up.
Students must have off-leash control of their dog in order to be eligible for this class. Introduction of lowered equipment and 2×2 method of weave pole training. Build on skills introduced in Foundations of Agility.
Fundamentals of Agility II: Prerequisite – Fundamentals of Agility I and Instructor Permission. Age 15 months and up.
Students must have off-leash control of their dog in order to be eligible for this class. Continued development of handler skills, including practicing basic crosses, and dog skills, including reliable contact behaviors and competency on equipment working toward full height, continued development of weave pole skills, jumping skills, etc.
Beginning Agility: Prerequisite – Fundamentals of Agility II and Instructor Permission.
Dogs should have ability to complete agility contact equipment at full heights. Skills emphasized will include further development and maintenance of contact behaviors, developing handling skills including crosses, drills, and short sequences. Emphasis on building team work.
Advanced Beginning Agility: Prerequisite – Beginning Agility and Instructor Permission.
Dogs may be tested at the first class. Emphasis on handling challenges, sequences, skills, and competency on full-size competition equipment including weaves.
Novice Agility: Prerequisite – Advanced-Beginning Agility and Instructor Permission.
Focusing on skills for competition at the Novice level of course design. Dogs should be competent at six (6) regular weaves and working to master 12 weaves.
Open Agility: Prerequisite – Novice Agility Title and Instructor Permission.
Dogs should be competent at six (6) regular weaves and working to master 12 weaves. Focus on teams actively competing. Minimum class difficulty will be at the Open level.
Advanced Agility Handling: Prerequisite – Open Agility Title or Equivalent and Instructor Permission.
For dogs who are actively competing and are ready to move forward from Open Agility.
Advanced Competition Agility: Prerequisite – Agility Title and Instructor Permission.
Class will focus on today’s challenging Excellent/Masters and Premier competition using actual courses from AKC trials.
OTHER CLASSES
CGC/THERAPY DOG Prep (Canine Good Citizen) — Prerequisite – Completion of Beginner Obedience Class.
Dogs should have completed Exploration I or have Instructor Permission. For students who want to pursue the Canine Good Citizenship certificate and/or test to have a registered therapy dog. Focus on exercises from the CGC and national Therapy Dog tests.
It’s All A Trick! — Prerequisite – Completion of Beginner Obedience Class.
Develop skills for teaching basic tricks and building toward more advanced behaviours.
Fun & Games — Prerequisite – Completion of Beginner Obedience Class.
Uses friendly competition to have you laughing and learning together with your dog and your classmates. Learn leash skills, sits, downs, come, leave it, and a few simple tricks to boot!
RUN-THRUS AND DROP-INS:
Run-Thrus are setup very closely to simulate a trial. You pay a small fee per run.
Drop-Ins are classes or practice that do not require a pre-registration or sign up. A small fee is charged.
